IVF abroad

Choosing where to receive your reproductive treatment might be challenging, but choosing a country for IVF abroad is a big decision!

Precise observation of the following considerations is so necessary before any action:

  • First, is the treatment you need available in the destination country?

Different countries offer various types of treatment, so make sure the treatment you require is available legally and ethically!

  • Second, has the destination country any age limitation for IVF?

Many countries have age restrictions for IVF. If you are more than 45, an additional qualification test will be necessary.

  • Third, is IVF with a donor egg possible and allowed in the opted country?

Egg donation process and Egg banks in most countries have broad activity even though You can choose the egg donor’s age because the fertility clinics have age limitations for donors.

  • Fourth, is IVF advertising reliable?

It would be best if you always considered factors like clear information, transparency, and honesty in discussing charges, additional expenses and treatment options. Eventually, you should trust the happy experience of clients of well-known agencies similar TebMedTourism!

Fertility treatment abroad | three vital aspects that patients should pay attention to!

Before choosing the best country for IVF, patients should focus on three treatment-related factors and questions.

They are primarily concerned about the price, and the length of the treatment, followed by the success rate.

But these three things only sometimes mix. TebMedTourism asserts that it is impossible to locate a country that provides patients with equal support in each area.

If you’re seeking inexpensive treatment, it may be ineffective or inefficient. Sometimes it will only be affordable and satisfying if your goal is a quick cure. On the contrary, if you want a country with a high success rate, your medical care won’t be inexpensive or completed quickly.

Overall, when you want to say hello to your new child via IVF procedure, trusting an agency that considers all the following factors is so intellectual:

“What is the cost of IVF abroad?”, “How much does IVF or egg donation cost?”, “How much does PGS testing cost?” and Similar questions about these fields are the most common.

The most important thing is determining the experiments of your IVF journey depending on your orders. For example, if the intended parents have genetic disorders and order PGD/NGS via their IVF procedure, they should add such genetic tests to their considerations.

If the intended parents desire to welcome their new baby via egg donation and IVF, they clearly can estimate that the price of IVF with a donor egg is different from IVF.

In most cases, failing the first cycle of IVF may happen, and back-to-back IVF cycles will be advised by fertility doctors, so additional charges are in the way!

As you understand, it is impossible to determine the exact costs because unknown factors affect prices.

Ultimately, the quality matters most of the treatment rather than how brief and quick.

Intelligently, the quality of the therapy is more significant than its briefness and speed. The best way to tackle the treatment duration topic is to find your best course of action.

Please pay attention that the agencies can determine how frequently you must visit for appointments based on your medical history and diagnosis.

TebMedTourism is honored to provide the exact package price for IVF in Iran due to the vast experience of infertility treatment for international intended couples by our team.

Patients want to know how long their IVF journey will take and when the intended mother could have a successful pregnancy. “How long does IVF take from start to finish”; It is the second on their list of frequently asked questions about IVF treatment.

It’s a complicated situation, according to TebMedTourism, and from the specialist’s perspective, the faster, the better. But patients should think differently. The IVF process is complicated and sophisticated, requiring the involvement of a great deal of medical expertise from specialists.

3.Success rate

What is your success rate? Firstly, the patients ask the healthcare facilitators. From the patient’s perspective, it makes sense, but it’s important to note that success rates are analogous in no process.

The success rates data will always be presented differently by various facilitators. You never know, for instance, the age group they apply to or how many patients they base their rates on—is it 100% or perhaps only 50%?

Success rates may be vague per embryo transfer or the entire IVF cycle. They could be frozen transfers as well as fresh transfers, or both. Numerous variables could affect how well a treatment works.

The average success rate of infertility treatment in Iran by TebMedTourism, including IVF in Iran, is 57% due to our last three years’ client statics which is as high as most modern fertility centers’ success rate worldwide.

  • Preliminary Sonography or Ultrasound Radiologic Evaluation

The preliminary sonography is aimed at examining the condition of the uterus for fertilization. Sonography provides information about the condition of ovaries, follicles, and the blood flow to ovaries.

  • Secondary Sonography

On the fifth day of the menstruation cycle, another sonography is done. During this sonography, the growth of follicles and the thickness of the endometrium are examined. The growth of follicles eventually causes ovulation and estrogen production. At this time in order to examine the estrogen in serum, two blood tests will be done. At this stage, your doctor might consider applying some technologically advanced techniques such as hysteroscopy which can increase the success rate of IVF significantly according to scientific studies.

  • IVF Procedure Preparation

Before commencing the IVF procedure, in case you have irregular menstruation cycles your doctor prescribes progesterone.  After 6 days of taking progesterone, some doctors might prescribe medications to induce ovulation.

  • Proceeding with IVF

IVF procedure starts with menstruation and on the second day of the period, blood tests and vaginal sonography is done.

Sonography is aimed at examining the size of follicles and the blood test is to determine the level of estrogen and estradiol.

  • Testing and Stimulating the Ovaries

At this stage, ovaries are stimulated by fertility drugs. Usually, these drugs are injectable and you need to have one to four injections a day for a period of seven to 10 days. These drugs help ovary stimulation and control the growth of oocytes (immature eggs).

  • Oocyte Maturation

At this stage, HCG is injected. The timely injection of HSG is very important. If HCG is injected prematurely egg would not become completely mature and in case of postponing the injection, the egg would become too mature. Normally HCG is injected when the size of the follicle has reached 18 to 20 millimeters and the level of estrogen has reached over 2000 pg/ml.

  • Egg retrieval

34 to 36 hours after you received the final injection, the egg retrieval process will be done at a clinic. During this procedure, you will be sedated by light anesthesia. An ultrasound probe will be inserted into the vagina in order to identify the follicles so that it enables the doctor to extract the follicles. The doctor does the egg retrieval by guiding a thin catheter into the vagina. In this method, the eggs are removed from the follicles through a needle that is connected to a suction machine.  Mature eggs are placed in a culture medium and incubated and then the healthy eggs will be fertilized with sperm to create embryos.

  • Sperm retrieval

Your partner should provide a semen sample at the clinic often on the same day of egg retrieval. Then the sperm is separated from the semen fluid in the laboratory. The semen sample is typically collected through masturbation. In some cases, a testicular aspiration which is the use of a surgical procedure to directly extract sperm from testicle is needed.

  • Fertilization

In the IVF procedure fertilization happens in a laboratory using two common methods. In conventional insemination, eggs and sperm are combined in vitro and incubated overnight to make embryos. In Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), sperm is directly injected into mature eggs. This technique is used when the sperm number is low or it has low quality and motility.

After making the embryos, assisted hatching could be used to help the embryo implant into the uterus lining easier. Your doctor might recommend this method if you are of developed age, you have had multiple IVF failures, or if you are using frozen eggs or embryos. In this technique, before transferring the embryo, a hole is made in the zona pellucida to help the embryo hatch.

Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT, PGD, or PGS) is sometimes used to test embryos for specific genetic diseases or to see if there is a correct number of chromosomes. This technique is typically used after 5 to 6 days have passed from embryo development. In this procedure, a small sample of the embryo is removed and tested to ensure that embryos do not contain affected genes or chromosomes.

  • Embryo transfer

Embryo transfer is done usually 4 to 5 days after the egg retrieval. During this procedure, you will be awake since it is usually painless and simple. Your doctor uses a thin tube called a “catheter” to transfer the embryo through your vagina and cervix into the uterus. A syringe containing one or more embryos floating in a fluid is attached to the end of the catheter and transfers the embryos into the uterus.
