Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Rhinoplasty in Iran Rhinoplasty, also known as an external nose surgery, is a cosmetic plastic surgery process for modifying and reconstructing the external nose. There are basically two categories of plastic surgeries used for rhinoplasty - reconstructive surgery, which reconstructs the entire form of the external nose and aesthetic surgery that alters the appearance of the external nose.
In general, both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeons can perform this kind of plastic surgery. Recreating a nose can be done by a reconstructive plastic surgeon while the aesthetic surgeon can also perform this type of plastic surgery. For reconstructive rhinoplasty surgery, a new nose is built by taking away the old one and replacing it with a completely new form. The most common form of reconstructive plastic surgery is reconstructive nose surgery.
When it comes to rhinoplasty surgery, the most popular form of surgery performed by reconstructive plastic surgeons is the reconstruction of a missing nose, which happens when the patient suffers from an accident or an injury that causes a large loss of tissue on one or both sides of the face. Some of these patients also undergo reconstructive surgeries in the same way that they undergo facial surgeries such as eyelid surgery or chin surgery or cheek surgery.
Many patients have lost their noses due to a congenital defect. Sometimes, the patient may even lose his or her entire face in an accident, or if he or she becomes ill or suffers an injury.
A reconstructive rhinoplasty procedure also takes place in the case of patients who suffer from asymmetry in their nose. ]f there are too big nostrils of the nose, or if the nose is too wide or narrow, then the patient can undergo an aesthetic plastic surgery to correct this problem. Some of these patients need to have a nose reshaped or altered. If the patient suffers from nasal deformities such as a deviated septum or cleft palates, he or she can also go through a reconstructive plastic surgery. In many cases, patients may also be born with some deformities and need to undergo rhinoplasty procedures in order to fix these problems.
A second category of plastic surgeons that can perform rhinoplasty are surgeons who specialize in cosmetic plastic surgery. These surgeons can also perform reconstructive rhinoplasty as well, although this surgery does not fall under this category. Cosmetic plastic surgeries on the other hand, usually focus on improving the natural look and shape of the nose and face.
In general, it is easy to differentiate between a reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. In a reconstructive rhinoplasty procedure, reconstructive plastic surgeons work on the body by building the lost parts of a face and restoring its original form.
