Breast augmentation in Iran These days, we have observed lots of cosmetic procedures. The Breast augmentation as also known as “augmentation mammoplasty” is a cosmetic surgery to change the size of breast.

Some women decided to have breast augmentation to increase their self – confidence and self- esteem. The decision to have plastic surgery is extremely personal. Like any other surgeries the breast augmentation has some certain medical challenges and side effects. So prior to taking action, you have to obtain sufficient information about this surgery and its side effects as well as medications used during surgery or post-operative care.

There are two general types of breast implants, Saline and silicone gel. 4- You might need an MRI scan In the either kind of breast implant, Ruptures might occur because of surgical error, a fall or rarely due to pressure from the mammogram on the breast. Saline implant ruptures are easy to diagnose but Ruptures of silicone gel can only be detected by MRI which in this case your surgeon will recommend you to remove it. For this reason, it is recommended women with silicone gel implants get an MRI three years after implantation and once every two years after that.

Risk and side effect

1- Adverse reactions to anesthesia, medications, or other substances. If you are allergic to a particular drug, it is better to inform your doctor because by this way the surgical team can prevent drug interactions and allergies. 2- Scarring or problems with wound healing. It has rarely been seen that the wound caused by surgery does not heal and the wound causes discomfort to the patient, but it is possible if an incision is made.

3- Blood clots, hematoma, and other post-surgery complications. For providing of this risk, patient has to follow the doctor’s instructions carefully. 4- Infection. Although most modern and advanced hospitals try to keep the hospital environment, operating room, and recovery room clean and sterile ,but there is always a risk of infection and microbial attack.

Final comment: For decreasing of these risks mentioned above, be very careful in choosing your doctor and hospital and ask all your questions directly with your plastic surgeon or consultant medical doctor of the facilitator company.
